danceABILITIES™ is a multifaceted dance-wellness program pioneering movement classes to support strength and balance training, gait and range of motion, heart and lung health, cognition, and memory work. Each class invites students to explore enlivened artistry and authenticity of self while supporting everyday activities of daily living and mental health. We are asked to use our bodies as instruments of communication, to find and articulate core values, to be intellectually curious, to problem solve and to neurologically “fire” and “wire” new worlds together in an atmosphere of creative fun.
Set to popular and diverse music, the combination of expressive dance and purposeful choreography aim to support clients who are already engaged in the artistic act or bring creative opportunity to the beginner.
danceABILITIES™ offers classes for individuals living with the effects of Stroke, Parkinson’s, Arthritis, MS, pain, PTSD, Hip and Knee Replacement, Dementia, Mental health/wellness struggles or if you use a cane, walker or wheels for mobility and balance.
